There are only 2 types of seagoing vessels: submarines & targets...
Well, you know what they say, 100 men go down and 50 come up!
But having done both, I'll take surface any day!

I'll stick with my BIG DECKS!!!! My 24-year tour included 3 Carriers and 1 Amphibious POS. Call me strange, but there is just something "special" about being on the biggest TARGET at sea. Call it "short bus" special if you want. Truth be told, I'd do it all over again!!!! My favorite Navy saying...
"Three Quarters of the Earth is covered by water...I defend it,...and I own it!"
@TheRock I don't even have a clue which amp to get, I looked at Bestbuy and Walmart and they have so many and I don't understand amps/watts/channels. If you or anyone can recommend a good amp that I would need to connect the original SS Speakers and the headrest speakers and doesn't cost and arm & leg please suggest.
What are your future intentions, if any? Any more speakers, side pods, subs, etc.?

As of now NO, only those rear speakers, No Sub-Woofer, NO side-speakers, NO over-head speakers
@Bubblehead so this isn't a "cheap" amp but it's the same type of amp that I have and I haven't had any issues with it. In fact, I'm very happy with it. Actually... here is a list of what I believe you need:
1 of these Amazon.com: Rockford Fosgate M400-4D Marine Amplifier: Car Electronics
1 of these Amazon.com: Scosche SLC4 Speaker Level Converter With 80 Watt Max: Car Electronics
2 of these Amazon.com: Rockford Fosgate RFI-10 Twisted Pair Signal Cable -10 feet: Cell Phones & Accessories
.... I think thats it....

If you're going to do it, might as well do it right the first time!
Great selection. @Bubblehead, if this is your route, this should do you just fine for years to come.
@TheRock, hope you don't mind me peeking over your shoulder on this mod. Just want to get some pointers on a stock mod crossover-type surgical operation.

Haha, not at all Brother, not at all! I will forewarn you guys, this is not a quick thing... it will take a bit, so if it's something we are going to do, we would need to get an early start....

Yep what he said....depends on what your driving (speakers) I'd be glad to help you out ...I'm running a JL AUDIO 4x500 marine amp MX-5004
@TheRock & @BatPower I looked at what you both posted, I am running the stock infotainment system with speaks and am wanting to install the headrest speaker pods with the Kicker Speakers Slingmods sells.... I'm only asking because I am clueless. Do I really need an AMP like Amazon.com: Rockford Fosgate M400-4D Marine Amplifier: Car Electronics or can I go with a cheaper one that will still do the job? Not planning on adding anymore speakers, I'm old, music sounds like music to my ears, I just looking to be able to hear the music at 80 down the highway. I know sometimes I can hear it perfectly but others not at all, depends on which way the wind seems to be blowing. If I need to spend the money then so be it.... just looking for options.
Thanks for all your help in this.

Yes not a quick one at all, Took the rock and I awhile to do it to JT's sling. I learned somethings that may speed it up though.

You need clean and more wattage if you want to listen over the sound of the wind without distortion.
Also that amp is marine grade you pay a larger amount for the marine grade amps. Its a safe guard of the just in case water sprays onto it.
@Bubblehead Amps have been one of the things that I have had the hardest time learning my lessons on. They aren't really sexy and don't get the same attention that Head Units and Speakers tend to get. But they are a key component to your audio system. I have had a few cheap amps in the past and they always come out to be more expensive in the long run, because they crap out early and you end up having to buy another one anyway. Something else to note as well, you will kill speakers quicker by under powering them, then you will overpowering them. Low power kills speakers. I don't think the stock head unit has the umph to drive 4 speakers and if you are going to add 2 more speakers through an amp, it's my $.02 that you should all 4. You don't HAVE to have a marine grade amp, as any quality amp will have a conformal coating, but I personally chose to go with a marine grade anyway because it is an open cock pit vehicle with that always has the possibility of getting caught in the elements. You can look for less expensive amps, but I would recommend one that has a proven track record, Rockford, Alpine, Kenwood, etc. I would definitely stay away from any amp you may find at AutoZone. You should also be looking for something that is 4-channel. Something like this would probably work just as well for your needs: New Rockford Fosgate R400-4D 400W 4 Channel Car Audio Amplifier D Power Amp - Walmart.com
