Did a search and didn't match anything, so sorry if this is a repeat post. Living in the Ocean state, we have areas where you can drive on at low tide along the shoreline. Has anyone tried it with a Slingshot?

Do you really want saltwater on your frame?!?! Salt destroys vehicles - not a good idea IMHO.

This guy drove out to take this picture and if I remember correctly he had to be towed out.

No matter how good you think you may be, during the SS bath, you're bound to miss a large amount of the underside and the nooks and crannies. That accumulation of salt deposits will surely turn your prized possession into a rust bucket. Best to keep the SS on solid surface and spend a little money to buy a used Jeep. They sit higher and are easier to clean. Just my honest opinion.

Thanks! I won my argument with John. We live about 4 Streets up from the bay and usually take a drive down to watch the boats and fishermen. I said No, but he thought it was OK. By the way we have 3 Jeeps all ready. That's why he likes to go down and do burn outs, etc. Can't wait to tell him. I wasn't even thinking about the rust, since it is in the air and we can't get away from it.

Uh, thanks?! BTW, Spud, I live in NM but I do love AZ also! (And, it goes without saying, our beloved Texas - I was born in Waco)

I live about 25 miles from the Gulf of Mexico and it is a constant battle to keep things from rusting up from the salt in the air. Could not even imagine taking my beloved Sling in closer to the beach than the paved road riding by.

Well said @Bill Martin! We have the option to ride on the beach here in Florida as well, would I take my sling there? Ab so freaking lutely NOT!

Damn I knew that too. Born in Waco? Go Bears. Have the only piece of property between Baylor University and I-35, right down from McLain Stadium, that Baylor doesn't own. It's an Exxon Convenience Store with a Subway in it. They will own it one of these days.
