Conservative Politics & Daily Events Discussion

  • @BONES are you telling me there are more than 31million people in the streets right now protesting, more to the point, vandalizing? That would be HALF of the people that voted for Hillary("liberals"). The damn media isn't covering it!! This is a biggest liberal cover up!! Where are you seeing these mass crowds of vandals? I need better news sources.

there's enough...making a point and Labeling them as a whole...don't take it personal..It's why people become prejudice , things they see and hear...Nature of the beast .....And That's No relation to SLINGBEAST!!

I Have No more toys, just memories.... :/

  • I think there is a difference. I don't remember eight years ago the mass of people exercising their 1st amendment rights. I don't remember windows being broken and cars being burned. I don't remember people gathering whit the intent of shutting down the system. And I definitely don't remember the republicans making excuses for and encouraging those to exercise those rights.
Imagine in four years time if this keeps up and the Democrats take office. Would it be alright for the right to exercise these same rights in a way they feel protected. One has to remember those on the right are the ones that believe in owning guns for protection. What if they bring them to the protest in same manner sticks knives and gas are brought by the left. This needs to be brought under control because whats good for the left is good for the right, good or bad.

  • In Washington yesterday they should have formed a THIN BLUE LINE around those individuals and as they closed in on those assholes and put handcuffs on them as they got to them, arrested every one of them an took them to jail. I do not know much about law but even I can come up with at least three they were breaking.

  • None of it's good from either side @Slingrazor. And lumping a whole group together is always bad.

If a liberal came here saying, "Conservatives are a bunch of racist, greedy, self serving, planet raping, animal killing, dumb ass, war mongoring rednecks", I would tell them they are wrong.

I'm sure you remember "rallies"(totally different from protests) from 8 yrs ago. They were your people, you agreed with the message, so you were not offended. When they yelled obscenities about Obama and called for his impeachment, much like my father-in law, many of you cheered their 1st Amendment excercising. I thought they were petty, silly and wasting their time, much like the Dems protesting today. If they aren't breaking the law, I could care less how they spend their weekends. As I said before, if they are destroying property or physically hurting people, cart them off(only those breaking the law).

Another misconception is that Liberals don't have guns, or have less guns. Half of my liberal friends hunt and have guns, so do half of my Conservative friends. The other half of each group doesn't like guns. Trust me it's weird arguing gun rights with some straight ticket Republicans that think "guns are dangerous and have no place in civilized society". Then there are the "gang bangers"(demographically, probably mostly Democrats), bangers doesn't refer to sausages. ;) I don't want my Conservative friends showing up to a "knife fight" with a 45 and a sack full of confidence only to realize it was a full auto SK/Uzi fight and they are out numbered.

Here is a Crazy thing for some of you to hear. None of my liberal friends have gone to a protest, some even live in Detroit and all of them have real full time jobs...whoa. To be fair, none of my Republican friends have gone to rallies either, and all of them also work. I personally know more non-working, system leaches that voted for Trump than didn't vote for Trump(5 and all are white). Not by any means a full tally of the American people or a reflection on all Trump voters(weren't necessarily even republicans), just an interesting fact.

I believe Trump disproved your argument that Conservatives don't call for violence when he asked his "NRA friends" to take care of things if he's not elected(and they cheered, oh did they ever cheer). If he wasn't talking about perpetrating gun violence, why not say "my Republican friends"? Oh remember when he said they should just punch people in the mouth, then that one guy elbowed a guy being escorted out of a rally in the face(they cheered then). Oh and Trump paid for elbow guys bail and defense because he committed the violence asked for by Trump. Did you forget that too?

It is both sides and a small percentage of both sides that need their heads examined. Unfortunately, the ones that act out make the news. For reasons I will never understand, some people from both sides use those deplorable acts, committed by a few shitheads to define half the country. Funny thing is, neither side realizes they are the minority. What were those numbers? Something like 31% Dem. 29%Rep., the rest Independent?Hmmm, maybe both sides should get off their high horses, that may Make America Great Again. :)

  • Okay, maybe this isn't the right place for this particular vent, but I can't really vent anywhere else without getting decapitated, so you are stuck reading (or not reading) it.

    1. Trump has been the President for over 24 hours. In that time there have been no mass deportations, no changes to Women's Rights, no infringement upon Civil Rights, and no required registration of any religious group. Everyone needs to back the F@*$ down. Should any of that change, I will stand with you, I will support you, and I will rise with you against the illegal abuse of power being represented. In the meantime, you do not have the right to burn, break windows, block traffic, or perform any other illegal acts in the name of "protestation". You want to protest? Fine. You want to march? Fine. Go for it. Use those 1st Amendment rights that so many people before you have died to protect. I support you. I don't necessarily agree, but go for it. Say what you have to say, make your stand, and have a cohesive message.

    2. If you don't have a cohesive message, don't be upset when NOTHING CHANGES. For instance, today's women's right to wear a pink knitted vagina hat and walk around major cities in the name of women's rights event. Do I understand some of the reasons you are walking? Yes. To protest the President, okay fine, see above statement. To protest the rights of women in this country (unequal pay, unequal benefits, unequal taxes, unequal medical coverage), again, I understand, kind of. But I want to point out that you guys are marching (that's a right) in order to show your dissatisfaction in the democratic voting process (that you DID get to vote in), to show your approval for reproductive rights (to include birth control and abortion, both of which are legal and easily attained), and to complain about unequal taxation of personal hygiene products (which is a state issue, not a federal one, and really, don't we have anything better to bitch about?). Okay, so birth control no longer has to be covered by insurance, while Viagra does. I can see how that could be argued to be anti-female (although I would say there should be a counter-protest for the guys with Obamacare who are forced to pay for OB/GYN insurance coverage which is significantly more expensive). My point is, why not pick one or two topics of the above and focus on one at a time. If you have 10 messages, nobody will care because how do you identify which one is more important? If you have 1 message, then okay, now we have somewhere to start. But the problem is none of us can decide on which problem is the most important, and news flash, NONE of them should be controlled by the federal government anyways!!!! Contraception not covered by your insurance? Then free market should dictate that you find an insurance coverage that does. Taxation an issue? Take it up with the state. Why is our government controlling any of this? The only things covered in the Constitution are the right to protest, and the right to vote, both of which we women have, everything else is NOT THE DAMN GOVERNMENT'S PROBLEM.

    3. Liberals are not the problem. Conservatives are not the problem. The problem is people don't know how to properly interact with each other anymore, have a complete lack of common courtesy, and are completely unable to accept responsibility for their actions. There are assholes on both sides that need to just shut up and color. Instead of pointing fingers, sit down at a table and TALK like civilized people to find answers to the problem. For instance (and I am winging this, so my numbers are generic and are for example only):

We have a large number of shootings of African American males in urban centers. Why? Well, because there is a higher rate of crime. Why? Because of the lower socioeconomic status of the vast majority of the population, and a significantly large percentage of single family homes. Okay, well, one at a time. Why do we have a lower socioeconomic status? Well, that is based on the historically racial profiling conducted earlier in 1900's that essentially forced African American families into cheaper urban homes, then as the districts were poor, the schools suffered from lack of funding so the education is subpar, and the kids are graduating into relatively dismal job markets with no usable skills. They then get into trouble and get incarcerated. Okay, we will come back to this. Why are there single family homes? Because of rather large numbers of arrests for criminal or drug related behavior in the (mostly) male population (Begin the circular logic train). Okay, so lets go back to schools (begin circular logic discussion for this). Then someone smart, who normally wouldn't be in this conversation because of the opposing viewpoints says, "well, how do we break the circle?". Oh. My. God. We are working together to think outside the box. WTF. How do we handle this now????? Heaven forbid we work together to find a solution.

    4. You want to stop worrying about which bathrooms to use? Get rid of our puritanical views on sex, and turn the human body into something that should be appreciated and respected instead of something taboo. Let everyone use the bathrooms together. Shower together. What's the best way to make things less fun for kids - make it transparent, make it open, make it legal. I guarantee you, on some level sexual liaisons will go down when the girls have to share bathrooms with the boys and both get to find out exactly how bad each other's shit smells. And there's no chance of predatory anything because EVERYONE is using the same damned space. How you like them apples?

    5. And that means no more name calling on either side. Because lets face it, what good does it do? What example does it set? You want to make a difference in the world? Stop asking race/age/sex questions on tests/applications. You want to make things in life fair, do everything by social security number instead of names. Only then, when we remove humanity COMPLETELY can we remove the biases that come with it. Are you ready for that? No? Good. Play nice. Be nice. Be HUMAN. Have compassion. Carry a .45.

Okay, I think that's enough. Rant over. For now. Sorry.

  • HMMMM!!! Imma startin to think the Brits may have something with that whole Queen thing!!!!

I might not be right but I can sure sound like it

  • And Madonna preaching...the skank who was all sexual, had a sex book, banged everything that moved...gestures etc is giving her thoughts, views...that's a role model who should speak right there. My wife was just watching her in concert the other night. She's like 56 and still grabbing her herself...then preaches right & wrong....look in the mirror, you can find dirt on probably 1/2 these celebs shooting there mouths
