Really easy install. Measure 87 times...cut once!
I cut twice and it was still too short

Can't remember how many sets are out there on Slingshots but you are certainly a small performance minded group of mutant Jedi
@gpcustoms I'll take a set of 3 if you have them

After speaking with Mark today, he decided not to go forward with the sale/donation for the vents. Too much on his plate right now and he does not need the extra headache. However, I did mention to him that I would possibly see about getting a handfull of the vents and doing a donation / giveaway. Let me talk some more with him and if everything works out I will post how to get them.
I'd love to score a set of the side ones if they ever come available again. My Dremel is ready to do some damage.
Just got a message from Craig and it appears he is going to help raise some St.Jude funds and throw together some flats. As Kenny noted above I have a full plate and can only tackle a few goals at a time right now but he is another good egg that can hook you up so ask your questions and share the information. Just try and remember to take care of the kids at St.Judes. Anything you donate goes directly to them at the link at the lower left of my posts @

Hopefully I have one more special cool thing to share but those details are yet to be worked out if at all
Thank you Mark, @gpcustoms and Kenny, @kenny_h
@Tripod I found the perfect gift for you Amazon.com: Passion Lubes, Natural Water-Based Lubricant, 55 Gallon Drum: Health & Personal Care
Would love to have that delivered to some people so that when they got home it was sitting right out front their door just the look on the neighbors faces would be enough
sent from my FAST red slingshot
looks awesome! thank you
This thread got so derailed, not sure if we can get it back on the tracks again. The above picture was when I was placing the hood vents, they are actually mounted a little forward when finished.

Well like you and several others, mine is in pieces and up on stands, I have a lot of work ahead of me.
After seeing the initial post about vents to reduce the hood flapping, I ordered these with the intention of cutting functional vents into them. But haven't gotten around to doing anything, yet. In some ways, I think the metal may be easier to cut-out than trying to Dremel the plastic vents.
2Pcs Car Decorative Air Flow Intake Scoop Turbo Bonnet Vent Cover Hood Fender Sale - Banggood.com
I'm interested and hope I can get a set...
Come visit and I will install!!! @MiM
Removing the lower fender like I have done gets ride of the pushing the barn door feeling. What I like about the vent is the aerodynamic effect of killing the lift by disturbing the the air flow as it comes over the fender (wing). That is the simple but ingenious thing @gpcustoms did.
If I get some this could be a deal!
Yes he did, They are plastic with 3M adhesive. They look rather cool and he gave me a set which I have not found a use for. If you like you can have the plastic set if you wish.Happy Thoughts
I thank you for the kind offer
But if you ever decide to offer the originals again I would be happy to show my appreciation to ST Jude!
Come install I'll take a set!! Will supply beverages, food , travel exspenses

I'm wanting to get in line for a set myself, look forward to donating to St Jude!
Mniron, what vents did you use in the hood?
I will take a set of vents to. They look really good.
I'm going to un-derail this thread and delete some of the previous post. It makes the thread confusing.
No worries to anyone that I deleted a post. We all get off topic every once in a while... I just cleaned it all up....
I think @StickerDick found some that were mass produced - not as nice looking but did the same thing.
I am in for a set if @gpcustoms brings them out again.
Probably the one spot there isn't a work of art painted.

The pair of hood vents actually are snowmobile hood vents. I can't remember year and model right now but they are not Polaris. I found a couple of different styles that would work but settled for these because I didn't want anything to large.
