Finally we had some rain. And with that the fire ban is lifted. So we are having a bonfire at the camp tonite. Westchester Station, Nova Scotia. An Irish Buck for wifey, rum and water for me. It really isn't very cold - she just likes to be warm!!
When in Florida, where do you locate? We usually come down for a couple of weeks in Jan...usually near Port Charlotte on the West coast...

Was out on Lake Erie fishing today. About 74* and overcast and seen 3 different water spouts off towards Ohio. The one lasted for about 10 mins and was quite big. Other two were smaller and vanished after a few mins. Neat to see as long as they are a few miles away.

Crappy iPhone pictures so if you can zoom in on the horizon you can see the spoutsI had an interesting near-miss with a pair of spouts in the Med in 2003 while driving the ship I was assigned to. Does not pay to run into one of those head on, even on a grey-hull.

He basically teaches others now, but for years he was on the offshore rigs. He has sent many pictures of water spouts, some of them from only 1/4 mile away give or take! Beautiful, Powerful, and something you really don't want a direct hit from!
